African Youth – Watch Out For Negative Use Of ICT Tools

Today’s epistle is fond of modern African youth, especially individuals who’re fortunate to

have developed some type of understanding in using the various tools of knowledge Communication Technology (ICT) and therefore are regrettably applying such tools for negative purposes.

To begin with, they have to be aware of the profound Tanzanian proverb which states: “If you’re taller than your father, it doesn’t always mean that you’re more intelligent than he’s!” Another Ghanaian proverb advises us that, “In case your grand mother informs a story, you do not let her know that you’re going to discover out of your mother whether exactly what the old lady has stated holds true or false.” Okay!

Knowledge

Not so long ago, there resided a self-acclaimed learned man through the name Prof. Kweku Ananse. Prof. Kweku Ananse am filled with themself he announced themself the wisest man evidently of the world. Actually, he was keen on hitting his chest to boast: “I am the wisest man in the world of ignorance. I am even

smarter compared to Creator who produced the world.”

Then, to be able to preserve his knowledge for themself alone, he went and purchased a pot made from clay. While he didn’t wish to share his knowledge with other people, he invest of his knowledge who are holding cards, closed it and sealed it with cement. Prof. Kweku Ananse tied a rope round the pot and hung it by himself neck. With this particular strategy, Prof. Kweku Ananse could carry his pot of knowledge, dangling on his chest just like a gold medal from Olympics wherever he went. He never removed his pot from his neck even if he was swimming within the river, not to mention as he is at bed.

Eventually, Prof. Kweku Ananse visited his farm at beginning and stated it wasn’t essential to take water along. “In the end, I am not thirsty now. Why must I carry water on my small mind for small boys to poke fun of me?” he stated with pride. Then at approximately 12 mid-day, it dawned on Prof. Kweku Ananse he was dying of thirst. He made the decision to hurry home rapidly to get some drinking water. In route he saw a coconut tree and stated: “Whaaat! I have to plug a coconut to quench my thirst before I proceed.”

Prof. Kweku Ananse reasoned that, if he left the pot on the floor and went on the top of

The coconut tree, when he descended, someone might have started to take his pot of knowledge away. For instance, he tried to climb the coconut tree together with his pot before him. Because he attempted to chest the coconut tree, his hands couldn’t go across the tree due to the pot between his chest and also the coconut tree. For more than three hrs approximately, Prof.Kweku Ananse battled and battled he was sweating just like a pregnant fish but he couldn’t climb the tree. Eventually, he fainted and collapsed on the floor. The pot was weighing and balancing on his chest because he lied flat on the ground.
